We have gotten to a
familiar place you and I
Where most
relationships fall and die
Because they put
themselves on a pedestal of love that they adjust
Not realizing they
fail each other by the expectation of their trust
I don’t want that for
us so I’d like to give a try
To someone who loves
us both. To someone who would never lie
To someone who can lead
us and take us off our plinths
And never will fail
us taking us to greater heights and lengths
I want to be like him

Now I don’t worry if
we are going to make it because it’s not in our hands
