Man of the house

 You think we don’t worry

You think we don’t mind

You think we don’t see

You think we stay blind

 

But a true man sees all.

And tries his best to fix.

Everything while at the same time,

Trying to be in the mix.

 

Providing for his family by working long.

Finding time to spend with wife and kid

Actions challenged by people on the outside

Either by what he hasn’t done or what he did.

 

You see ladies we take it all

And that not to say that you don’t take the lick

It just the stress that we deal with

Is why video games are our side chicks. 

 

We just want everyone happy.

From ourselves, to the kids, to the spouse.

To end the day with purpose.

To be the man of the house.

SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS

 

When I lost my brother it felt so unreal

My heart broken and melted, yet strong as steel

Angry at everyone with every and no reason at all to be cross

When someone approaches you and says “Sorry for your loss”

 

It’s always the people who never really knew you

And yet there to extend a hand

The people who walk pass you

That say they understand

 

And the ones that cared before

When you see them, you cry

Because they remind to your core

Of the person you had to say goodbye

 

But it’s never really goodbye is it?

The memories always stay

Hold it in your heart

That you’ll see them someday

 

Let your tears fall till they can’t anymore

And then make them proud by living life like a boss

Weather I know you or not is irrelevant

But still I’m so sorry for your loss

FREEZE

 Why does the world not want us to be together

 Maybe we make a imbalance in space and time

Because it seems like everything freezes, even the weather

When our bodies touch and entwine

The Earth stopped spinning around the sun

Just so the sun can stare at us from above

And every light and every clocked stopped its run

Just to spark the fire of our love

Now I'm dead from being shot from a cop

And I know it fills you with much pain

But it because of you baby why I didn't stop

Baby please let me explain.

They told me to freeze and didn't know what to do

Because I didn't know how to freeze..... without touching you

So I ran towards your love with everything that I got

And in the process.......I got shot.

Now everything that was once frozen are starting to move again

Every light and clock like it never knew what happened

While I'm starting down from heaven asking the Lord please

If I could come down one more time and make the world freeze.
