The Thing I See

I walk into a store with a uniform tight

To watch and protect it from day to night

From the youth and the old and those in between.

I see you God in the living dream.

I guide the ones who think they aren't seen

Unless to abuse the place or smoke a little green.

And hope one day things will get better

And my love for you will try hard to not sing to non letters.

For those who come angry I reason to a spear.

That this is a safe place with no reason for that atmosphere.

I speak peace always until peace is not allowed in your realm.

And the words become actions to keep your anger from being overwhelmed.

I enjoy the new messing with the old

And the old wishing new were better mold

As I watch the old say the new is up to something.

The new look at me and say "We didn't do nothing."

I see the choir of workers with beauty in their strength.

I see their determination to go to higher lengths.

Depending on their work they will fail or succeed.

Cause money is always spending, so money is what we need.

The people I am around that are soft and hard.

I watch and protect with joy as a security guard.

Knowing my place as I stand in this community.

Listening to their heart by focusing on the things I see.
